Whenever you're at Phoenixsee, stop by the Pfefferkorn NY Steakhouse. The steaks and drinks are very tasty, the prices are not cheap but okay and if you sit outside when the weather is nice, you have a nice view of the lake. We had a very nice evening there and the service was nice and friendly.

Goes so. It is not a must. The dishes were ok. Price was too high for empty plates ... once there and never again 🤷‍♂️

Anyone who wants to eat a decent steak is in good hands here. Good quality that you can pay for appropriately. Reservation strongly recommended. You can sit comfortably in the spacious rooms. There is a very large deck with a view of Phoenix Lake. In winter with blankets and heating. You should keep your hands off the cheap lunch dishes! They are loveless and underground.

Ok, it was relatively full on Saturday, which explains the forgotten salad. Is human and doesn't matter as a free ice cream was offered as a replacement. Unfortunately, we had to ask for the bill three times and, in the end, take action ourselves and go in to pay. Dishes are good, unfortunately the vegetables were overcooked and the burgers had minimal sauce. No chance to ask for some sauce .... As I said, it was relatively full. Next time it will be as good as the first time.

Delicious food, but only served lukewarm. The waitress C. Dabrowski is extremely attentive and friendly. Her blonde colleague could learn a lot from her. It makes a face and gives you the feeling of not being welcome: doesn't look at you, hardly speaks. At my request to serve the water with lemon, he just waves it away instead of telling me in one sentence that lemon is already there. I was glad that he only took our drinks order.

At the Phönixsee - beautiful location, some friendly and also less friendly employees. It was very crowded - the weather was great. Still quick service. Food was mediocre. Meat wasn't very good, very thick with fat, maybe bad luck. Thought it would be better. I don't have to go back, have eaten better.

We celebrated my birthday here with 11 people. It was excellent 👌👌👌 the steaks were great and cooked to the point. The dishes were served for all 11 people at the same time. The service is very attentive and friendly. We all felt very comfortable. 👍👍👍 simply recommended !!! Gladly again..🤞👍👌

We haven't been served such a bad meal in a long time. Fast food quality !!! The burger was bone dry, the schnitzel badly fried (breading too soft and still very light) and the vegetables totally overcooked. Never again!

As always, the food is first class, "The Best Steaks in Town" is rightly called the flag. I deduct one star for the fact that some waiters try very clumsily to sell me more. A recommendation for special, seasonal dishes is good, something like "Next time I'd like a bigger steak" (350g fillet steak were already) or "Invest 1-2 € more is usually worthwhile, then you get better quality" (It was already that Filet, and yes, I know that it can also be much more expensive) does not need this location, so leave me alone with it: D!

First of all the food was perfect! So don't count the lack of two stars for the taste. Definitely great to perfect food! The are is very picturesque and beautiful and also very quite. And also the ambience within the restaurant was very comfortable. Only our waiter was unfortunately very disappointing. Very short on words, not very communicating and also not very helpful. We didn't feel like getting attention at all. The head of the waiters was very nice and kept looking for everyone. She seemed to be caring. But the waiter, responsible for our table, didn't do a good job. Apart from that, I'd give it a 'good to go!'. The food deserves 4,5 stars.

Lovely place to go for dinner, would highly recommend. Thanks so much for carrying out our family special event really wonderful! My brother had an excellent birthday, we will be coming again. My brother and I emerged here for his graduating and were delighted that there were a lot of great tables to select from when we arrived. Service was fantastic and completely cherished the food, will be coming back. We went here for our wedding anniversary and simply adored the atmosphere and wonderful food, cannot suggest it enough.

Meat is perfect! And the people friendly. But it is too expensive for the total experience.

Excellent place, excellent food, excellent service and excellent staff. I don't speak german and they provided me a menu in English, which totally contributed for the marvelous experience.

The food and drink are nice, the staff are nice and polite, but the price is somehow too much.

High quality food, well mannered staff, higher than regular prices but to the standard of food. View is nice too. And possibility to take a walk down the pier after dinner.

Very nice restaurant with nice choices for meat. Also there are plates for vegan also.

Pretty much the only NY style steakhouse in the area. Service is good, a rarity in Germany. Make sure you tip your waiter, and get the American cut.

Very less vegetarian options considering the name of the restaurant.. But still the burger and shakshuka was good and would probably visit again..

Everything okay. My meal was delicious. The shop is air conditioned and looks very nice. In addition, he is tall and in the outdoor area are very many tables. But not too close together! We will come back.

Set in the idyllic lake Phoenix, or Phoenixsee as the locals call it, its ambience is warm, clientele cosmopolitan, food good and service great. The statue of the old man sitting on a bench enjoying the view of the lake or sometimes having an espresso is welcoming. A must-visit when on this part of Dortmund city.
